Texas A&M Health graduate programs earn national spotlight in latest U.S. News rankings

Medical and public health programs climb in national standings, securing top spots in Texas

Texas A&M University Health Science Center (Texas A&M Health) has once again earned national recognition, with several of its graduate programs rising in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.

One of the most significant accomplishments comes from the Texas A&M College of Medicine, earning a Tier 1 ranking in primary care and a Tier 2 ranking overall. These gains further cement the college’s reputation as one of the leading public medical schools in Texas.

“I’m incredibly proud of the dedication and excellence our faculty, staff and students demonstrate every day,” College of Medicine Dean Amy Waer said. “The rise in our national rankings reflects the hard work happening across our college and reaffirms our commitment to advancing medicine through education, research and compassionate care.”

The Texas A&M School of Public Health also saw impressive gains, climbing 11 spots to No. 27 nationally. Already the largest school of public health in Texas, it now it holds the distinction of being the highest-ranked public health school in the state.

“I could not be prouder of what the school has accomplished,” School of Public Health Dean Shawn Gibbs said. “To be ranked 27 out of 219 ranked programs and dozens more unranked programs shows that impact that Texas A&M School of Public Health has on Texas and on the nation. Our nationally ranked Master of Health Administration degree, through its residential and executive programs, is generating the next generation of C-suite leadership within the growing health care industry.”

The newest rankings reflect the broad strength of Texas A&M Health ‘s graduate programs. The School of Public Health’s Health Care Management program ranked No. 28 nationally and Pharmacy landed at No. 49, further highlighting the growing impact of Texas A&M Health’s graduate education across multiple disciplines.
