Blakely elected ASPH Data Committee Chair
Craig Blakely, Ph.D., M.P.H., dean of the Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) School of Rural Public Health, was elected chair of the Data Committee at the national meeting of the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH), Oct. 28-Nov. 2 in Washington D.C.
The Data Committee advises other deans of schools of public health as well as ASPH staff on the collection, analysis and dissemination of information on schools of public health. Dean Blakely also serves on the ASPH Board of Directors as well as both the Education and Diversity committees.
Also, Chris Grunkemeyer was elected chair of the Career Services Council.
Other national chairs from the TAMHSC School of Rural Public Health who led ASPH committees are Antonio Rene, Ph.D., chair of the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Council; Brian Colwell, Ph.D., chair of the Behavioral and Social Sciences Council; and Rae Lynn Mitchell, M.A., chair of the Marketing and Public Relations Council.
