Amy Wright selected as American Leadership Forum Fellow

Amy Wright, MBA, EdD, assistant dean of student affairs at the Texas A&M University Intercollegiate School of Engineering Medicine, has been selected as a fellow of the American Leadership Forum (ALF), a nonprofit national organization dedicated to uniting diverse leaders to strengthen their community and serve the common good.

Established in 1980, ALF runs fellows programs across the United States, with each class comprising 20 to 25 established leaders from various fields. During her year-long fellowship, Wright will enhance her ability to address societal issues and expand her leadership network for positive community change. She will also gain exposure to unique experiences and leadership concepts, fostering curiosity and strengthening her connection to broader society.

Wright is the director of educational partnerships and oversees the joint education programs within the Academic Institute (AI) at Houston Methodist Hospital. She has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry. Wright has worked at institutions such as Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, UTHealth, Texas Biotechnology, and with private practice clinicians. Additionally, she has taught in the Business Administration Department at San Jacinto College for the past 13 years.

As the assistant dean of student affairs for the School of Engineering Medicine, Wright oversees the operations of the Houston campus of the Texas A&M School of Medicine. Her biggest passion is leveraging her experience and education to help students and her team reach their full potential. She looks forward to continuing to pursue this passion through the professional development opportunities the American Leadership Forum (ALF) fellowship offers.
