Doctoral Graduate Headed to Memphis

SangNam Ahn, Ph.D., M.P.S.A., post-doctoral research scientist at the Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) School of Rural Public Health, has accepted a position as assistant professor at the University of Memphis School of Public Health.  He was named this year at APHA the winner of the 2010 Retirement Research Foundation Laurence G. Branch Doctoral Student Research Award and Honorable Mention for the Nobuo Maeda International Research Award.  Dr. Ahn received a doctorate degree in health services research from the HSC-School of Rural Public Health, a master’s in public service and administration from Texas A&M University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Sejong University in South Korea.
