(KINGSVILLE, TX) — Kimberlee D. Garza has joined the Texas A&M Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy as its director of development. She will be responsible for assisting in the establishment of a development program to cultivate private and corporate donations and government grant opportunities toward attaining funding for scholarships, research and professional development for the college.

“I have lived, worked and attended college in Kingsville for more than 10 years, and I firmly believe that the establishment of the HSC-Rangel College of Pharmacy has had, and will continue to have, a positive effect on the community and South Texas,” said Garza upon being named the college’s first-ever director of development.
Prior to this appointment, Garza was director of estate and asset services for the American Cancer Society. “I know, from my non-profit work in the area, that South Texans are very generous and supportive of educational endeavors, as Ms. Irma Lerma Rangel and her family have so adequately demonstrated,” Garza said.
