NCEMPR to offer ADLS Course
On January 24th the National Center for Emergency Medical Preparedness & Response will be offering a two-day Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS) course at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health McAllen campus.
The course is funded through House Bill 1831 and offers advanced, hands-on training for individuals in the area of mass casualty management, patient decontamination, disaster management and other advanced medical and public health skills related to disaster medicine. All-hazards scenarios, interactive sessions with patient simulators and volunteer patients will create a true-to-life experience. The course is primarily exercise based with several “hands-on” activities.
