Student wins National Ergo Award
James Stafford, graduate student at the Texas A&M Health Science (TAMHSC) Center School of Rural Public Health, has been selected as the recipient of the Applied Ergonomics Creativeness in Ergonomics, Student of the Year Award in a national competition from the Institute of Industrial Engineers. The award recognized Mr. Stafford’s work in ergonomics including original research, industry assessment and product development.
This is the second consecutive year that a TAMHSC-School of Rural Public Health student has received this recognition. Doctoral student Kristen Miller was the 2011 recipient.
The $4,000 award is sponsored by CNA Insurance Co. and will be presented to Mr. Stafford during the 15th Annual Applied Ergonomics Conference March 26-29 in Nashville, Tennessee.
