Tiffany Radcliff named School of Public Health senior associate dean of research
Radcliff will represent the dean and School of Public Health to the university administration and others in multiple capacities
Tiffany Radcliff, PhD, has been named senior associate dean for research of the Texas University A&M School of Public Health effective Jan. 1, 2023. This addition of the “senior” associate dean title is an expansion of her current role as associate dean for research and is a recognition of her additional responsibilities to represent the dean and/or the School of Public Health to the university administration and others in multiple capacities.
Since 2018, Radcliff has led the Office of Research at the School of Public Health and has represented the school on the Texas A&M University Research Council (URC). She currently serves as the chair of the URC and was previously a member of the URC’s executive committee. She recently completed the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) as one of four faculty selected as a fellow from Texas A&M. She was also a recipient of a Chancellor’s Research Initiative “EDGES” Fellowship Award.
Radcliff received a PhD in health services research, policy and administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and has a Bachelor of Science in economics from Texas A&M. Prior to joining the faculty at Texas A&M, she held faculty positions at the University of Florida and University of Colorado. Her research expertise is in health economics and health services research, including analysis of secondary (administrative) data and use of novel methodology to improve measurement of care processes, access to care, and health care outcomes for vulnerable populations such as older adults, veterans and rural residents. Radcliff is an affiliated investigator for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; she collaborates on multiple projects with the Veterans Emergency Management and Evaluation Center (VEMEC) at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and with the Quadruple Aim QUERI at the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System. Her research appears in top medical and public health journals and her publications have been cited more than 2,500 times. She teaches courses for the MHA, MPH, and PhD programs at the School of Public Health and serves on a variety of committees, boards and advisory groups, including the Texas A&M Emergency Management Advisory Group (TEMAG) and Scientific Merit Review Board (SMRB) for the VA’s Health Services Research & Development Service.
“Dr. Radcliff is a driving force for School of Public Health research. She leads by example as both a stellar researcher and an innovative leader,” said School of Public Health Dean Shawn Gibbs. “She is always looking for those connections and collaborations that will advance her work and the research of others in the School of Public Health to the next level.”
