University Health Services to host 2nd annual Howdy Health Fair and flu shot clinics on the Bryan-College Station campus
The two events will take place back-to-back to support students’ wellness as cooler weather approaches
The Howdy Health Fair will be held Oct. 4, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Rudder Plaza on the Texas A&M University campus. The first of two flu vaccine clinics for Texas A&M students will follow on Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Student Health Center.
As we enter the fall season, is it not just the time for pumpkin spice, but also a time to remember to focus on your health.
Texas A&M University Health Services is helping Aggie students maintain their health and well-being by hosting the second annual Howdy Health Fair and two flu shot clinics on the Bryan-College Station campus.
“Making your health and well-being a priority is important for academic success,” said Nancy Fahrenwald, associate vice president of University Health Services at Texas A&M Health. “Getting an annual flu vaccination is important. Take time to learn about resources on campus that support your physical and mental health and self-care.”
The Howdy Health Fair will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Rudder Plaza. Attendees will learn about many of the health and well-being services and resources available to Aggies and enjoy a fall festival atmosphere with games, free snacks and numerous giveaways.

University Health Service is also hosting two student flu clinics on two upcoming Thursdays, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Student Health Center. Fall is the beginning of flu season, so it is important to get the vaccination early. University Health Services has partnered with the Texas A&M School of Nursing to assist with dispensing the vaccinations. Students can learn more and schedule an appointment by visiting the University Health Services flu site.
“University Health Services hosts multiple events like these during the year that ensure we are providing health access and education to our Aggie student body,” Fahrenwald said.
