Welcoming Chinese Health Professionals
Dean Craig Blakely, Ph.D., M.P.H. hosted a reception welcoming health professionals from Chongqing City of the People’s Republic of China who are currently participating in a 15 week, customized education program. The program consists of four weeks of English classes, 40 professional lectures/class discussions, and field trips/study tours.
The focus of the program centers around the general theme of biotechnology and health care, concepts to practice, research to implement, and other topics of current significance. Professors of the Texas A&M Health Science Center will conduct lectures and discussions and will arrange field trips to health care delivery organizations, biotechnology firms, research labs, and related facilities in and around College Station and Houston, Texas. This program is the first of its kind between the Health Science Center and the US-China Federal Association of Business Councils (USCFABC).
