Wood named President of American Cancer Society Board
Richard Wood, M.H.A., a doctoral student at the Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) School of Rural Public Health, has been appointed president of the American Cancer Society 2012-2013 Brazos County Board of Directors.
Wood recently received national recognition from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for his work with Regents Professor Dr. Marcia Ory with the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN). He is the project director for CTxCARES, the TAMHSC component of CPCRN, and is an immediate past Fellow of the National Cancer Institute Center for Excellence in Cancer Communication.
